A great side dish made mainly with yogurt and cucumber. Known also as “tzasiki”.
1 kg yogurt, 1/5 liter of water, two big cucumbers or 3-4 small cucumbers, 5 pinches of salt, 2-3 cloves of garlic (pressed), olive oil and dill to decorate.
Put the yogurt into a bowl, then add the water on top of that and the salt and the pressed garlic. Whisk them very well. Peel and grate the cucumbers and add into the mixture. Stir but don’t whisk. That’s it!
Pour the cacik into small bowls (4-5 of them will be fine for this amount). Put the 1/2 small spoon olive oil and then some dill on each portion. You can adjust the amount of cucumber and salt according to your liking.
